Welcome to François Wieckowiak’s website!
I am François Wieckowiak, CIFRE PhD student, and I mostly work on mathematical expression recognition between my lab, the LIRIS in Lyon, and the company Luminess in Lens, France.
My research focuses on improving OCR systems for mathematical expression recognition in patent documents. My contributions include new datasets, evaluation methods, and post-OCR verification approaches.
On this website, you will find information about my research, publications, past and side projects, as well as anything that I find interesting. I may also use this website to show my creative works such as music, crochet, or general DIYs. Finally, I may find the time to write and post photos of my bikepacking adventures !
